Family Focus involves parents attending activities and learning with their children. The Family Focus programme is run by the Chipping Norton Partnership of Schools working with our partner community clubs and providers. The programme has been extremely popular and hundreds of people have taken part in the sessions so far. Family Focus Activities take place in the autumn, spring and summer terms. Activities have included Art, First Aid, Trampolining, ICT, Tennis, Science, Astronomy, Cookery, Hockey, Tennis, Golf and Mathematics.
Family Focus activities are designed to be enjoyable and fun, but also informative and educational. Research shows that when families learn new activities together, children develop a more positive attitude to school and learning. Positive role modelling with children can help them learn more about their community.
