Pupils in Foundation Stage and Year 1 participate in a inspiring project aimed at encouraging children to learn through nature in a woodland environment, based on Danish education methods and principles.
Through regular visits to contained local woodland, Forest School extends and enriches the curriculum particularly in the areas of science and geography.
Pupils encounter a range of physical challenges appropriate to their age and gain a greater understanding of their natural environment.
We have found that pupils’ confidence, self- esteem, social skills and powers of communication build through participating in Forest School.
